I ...Really a Nice and crysp write up here. THanks..
I have a few questions and I will be very happy to have the answers. Here it goes.

In few articles regarding HA/MAA architecture I often read that "Install Oracle Clusterware " and "Install a Clustered ASM home".
1. How are the different? In standalone ASM or Oracle restart we install GRID but here I do not understand the difference.
2. In a Metalink note regarding Patching I read,
Which oracle home does a patch apply to?

"A home must meet the patch version specification to be applicable.

In CRS environments, a Clusterware patch (interim, MLR, bundle or PSU) applies to all homes (CRS, ASM and database), while a Database patch applies to the ASM and Database home only

In Grid Infrastructure environments, a GI patch (interim, bundle or PSU) applies to all homes (GI and Database), while a Database patch could be applicable to GI/ASM home if the fix applies to ASM (in this case patch README will tell clearly that it applies to GI/ASM home)."

a> CRS, ASM and database Homes, as in what ? CRS and ASM homes should be same and Database(rdbms) should be of different Home. Right? If not then please throw some light on it.
b> I have two PSUs. GI PSU and RDBMS PSU.
Do I have to apply RDBMS PSU to GI HOME as well with ORACLE_HOME and for GI PSU, apart from applying it to GRID_HOME do I have to apply it on RDBMS HOME also?

Could you please help me with answering these?

Regards,
SahaSahahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12687381732434794614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2188080867995209962.post-27785537521132437022016-03-19T00:37:01.222-07:002016-03-19T00:37:01.222-07:00My cousin recommended this blog and she was totall...My cousin recommended this blog and she was totally right keep up the fantastic work!

Chennai Bigdata TrainingDivithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00242065948311212692noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2188080867995209962.post-26568331666353855112016-02-03T09:44:06.431-08:002016-02-03T09:44:06.431-08:00Really awesome...Really awesome...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13258039918640187284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2188080867995209962.post-248066927244978862016-01-13T04:03:08.021-08:002016-01-13T04:03:08.021-08:00Using big data analytics may give the companies ma...Using big data analytics may give the companies many fruitful results, the findings can be implemented in their business decisions so as to minimize their risk and to cut the costs.
hadoop training in chennai|big data training|big data training in chennaiMervin Parmarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00205267314261364623noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2188080867995209962.post-29003614560955362202015-12-15T02:30:56.394-08:002015-12-15T02:30:56.394-08:00BHEL Bhopal Apprentice Recruitment 2016
